Iemoli Trasporti now part of Swiss Post Cargo and plans further growth in Italy
Turate, 13 May 2026 – Iemoli will now operate as “Swiss Post Cargo”, adopting the market presence under which Swiss Post is consolidating its companies and competencies in goods logistics. With the change of brand, the company is underscoring its positioning as a key pillar for Swiss Post Cargo in the Italian market. At the same time, customers should benefit to an even greater extent from seamless connections to the most important European trade routes.
Introduction

Iemoli Trasporti, headquartered in Turate, has been a Swiss Post subsidiary since 2021. Founded in 1962, the company today specializes primarily in dangerous goods transport and cooled shipping in the intermodal sector. Swiss Post Cargo Italia S.R.L. and Swiss Post Cargo Chiasso SA offer proven customs clearance expertise as well as sector-specific warehousing and transport services for the food/non-food sector and industry, which are of great interest to Italian and Swiss companies. The adoption of Swiss Post Cargo’s market presence will not only change the company’s appearance, but also further expand its range of services. Seamless connections to the most important European trade routes in and via Switzerland to France, Germany and also to the northern and eastern European markets are particularly important. Alongside Italy, Swiss Post Cargo has expanded from its domestic market in Switzerland by integrating various logistics companies in Germany and France in recent years, strengthening its European presence significantly.
“As Swiss Post Cargo, we can offer even more flexible and end-to-end one-stop transport and logistics solutions. By doing so, we’re connecting Italy with the most important European economic areas and securing the cross-border supply chains of our Italian and international customers”, says Sabrina Borrelli, CEO of Swiss Post Cargo Italia & Chiasso, explaining the added value of greater integration into the Swiss Post Cargo Group for customer business and growth. “The team is pleased to be tackling this development and expansion together with our customers.”
Thanks to its strong local roots and consistent focus on the specific needs of its customers, the company has successfully evolved as a transport and logistics specialist in a challenging market environment. Through this integration, Swiss Post Cargo has not only strengthened its market presence in Italy, but aims to continue the growth strategy pursued there. Important next steps include the further linking of systems and the service portfolio, as well as ongoing investments in the vehicle fleet and the expansion of the infrastructure in Turate. This will enable customers in Italy to increasingly benefit from the intelligent linking of the various cross-border goods logistics services.
Swiss Post operates in four markets: logistics, communication, mobility and financial services. It delivers parcels and newspapers in Switzerland and offers physical and digital letter deliveries. To ensure that all its services are easily accessible, Swiss Post offers physical and digital access points throughout Switzerland. Its services also range from digital communication solutions to goods logistics – in Switzerland and neighbouring countries. In the mobility market, Swiss Post operates bus routes throughout Switzerland. It also maintains its own vehicle fleet and offers sustainable mobility solutions for business customers. Swiss Post’s subsidiary PostFinance is one of the leading providers in payment transactions. In 2025, Swiss Post generated revenue of 7.305 billion francs with around 44,000 employees. The Universal Postal Union named Swiss Post a world-leading postal service for the ninth time in a row in 2025.
