Change in management at Swiss Post Cargo
After years of growth and transformation, Roland Heizmann has decided to hand over overall operational management of Swiss Post Cargo. He will take on special tasks in the company until further notice and will serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Italy. Stefan Luginbühl, previously Head of the Acceptance, Transport & Sorting Competence Center at Swiss Post, will take over management on an interim basis as of 1 November 2025.
Swiss Post Cargo remains a strategically important growth area within Swiss Post. Roland Heizmann has been a driving force behind international growth in goods logistics and the integration of subsidiaries in Switzerland, Germany, France and Italy under the new joint market presence of Swiss Post Cargo.
I’m proud of what our teams have achieved in this highly dynamic business. Swiss Post Cargo is a recognized logistics service provider in Switzerland and neighbouring countries. The Villmergen logistics center is in operation and forms the foundation of Swiss Post Cargo. Now I can hand over to some fresh strengths and look forward to somewhat calmer times.
Stefan Luginbühl is currently Head of the Acceptance, Transport & Sorting Competence Center at LS Operations. He has more than 20 years’ experience in senior management positions at Swiss Post and, among other things, actively helped to shape the merger of the PostLogistics and PostMail units. Stefan will now bring his experience of complex change processes to Swiss Post Cargo.
I’m very much looking forward to helping make Swiss Post Cargo a successful company, bringing employees together and impressing customers. The strategy is right, and we’re keeping to it. My biggest concerns at the moment are bringing together different cultures, pushing ahead with the various integration projects and providing our customers with the best possible support through a challenging market environment.
The search for a permanent replacement for the management of Swiss Post Cargo has begun.
