Here’s how it works
Delivering consignments
The goods are delivered to our cross-docking logistics center, or we collect them on site.
Checking consignments
We check incoming consignments for quantity and external damage and notify you of actual goods received.
Bundling goods
We bundle the goods and pick them according to recipient.
Preparing consignments
The consignments are repackaged and prepared for onward transport.
Shipping consignments
We generally prepare the consignments for shipping within 24 hours.
Service details
Incoming consignments are generally checked, processed and prepared for onward transport within 24 hours. Swiss Post Cargo takes full care of goods clearance, from acceptance, checking, bundling and picking right through to preparation for onward shipping.
The goods are either collected by Swiss Post Cargo or delivered directly to our logistics centers.
The consignments are carefully checked upon delivery. This process includes:
- Quantity check
- Incoming goods check for external damage
- Details of actual goods received fed back to the client
The goods are bundled and picked according to recipient. This results in ready-to-send consignments for the recipients.
Before shipping, the consignments are fully prepared:
- Packing
- Printing of outgoing goods labels
Orders are placed directly and easily for Swiss Post Cargo customers at least 24 hours in advance via the EDI interface or manually.
The prices are based on your individual requirements. Billing is generally based on the transport price.

Value-added services
Thanks to our comprehensive range of value-added services, even demanding cross-docking requirements can be covered flexibly:
- Unloading of non-palletized goods and breaking up of mixed pallets
- Preparation of orders with incoming goods for delivery the following day
- Management of empties as well as packaging and consumables
- Professional disposal of packaging material
- Picking as per item by item
- Deployment of additional auxiliary staff as required
- Agreement of individual service level agreements (SLA)
