History

From yesterday to today

Swiss Post Goods Logistics has always adapted its services to economic, social and technological changes. At Swiss Post Cargo, we have been pooling our regional logistics expertise since 2025 and strengthening cross-border supply chains – within Switzerland and beyond.

Customer centricity is at the forefront of everything we do. With this in mind, the restructuring will take place step by step: we want to continue to focus fully on working for our customers during the transition phase.

Our journey to Swiss Post Cargo

Around the core of PostLogistics Ltd, the company has been making targeted investments in the expansion of its network in Switzerland and abroad ever since the launch of Swiss Post Goods Logistics in 1997. In doing so, the company is opening up new markets close to its customers in its core competency of logistics and transport. Specifically as part of its “Swiss Post of tomorrow” growth strategy, the combined power of a comprehensive, cross-border transport and logistics service has been developed, optimally connecting companies in the economically strong regions of our neighbouring countries Germany, France and Italy to national and international goods flows. Since March 2025, the following logistics companies have been gradually switching over to operating on the market with the “Swiss Post Cargo” brand identity:

Bächle Logistics GmbH

With important milestones in its history, Bächle Logistics has brought together the strengths of three traditional companies under the umbrella of Swiss Post Cargo since 2025:
