Ricardo Arroyo Rubio to become CEO of Portmann

Swiss Post Cargo has appointed Ricardo Arroyo Rubio to lead the Portmann Group as of 1 September 2026, with locations in France, Luxembourg, Poland and Lithuania. He succeeds Jean Michel Bauer, who led the company as CEO since 2023 and has left at his own request.

Ricardo Arroyo Rubio began his career in international logistics in the 1990s and held various roles, including management positions at Schenker in Spain. After three years as CEO at an industrial company, he returned to logistics in a management role at DHL in 2009.

At DHL Freight, he initially served as CEO, overseeing operations in Spain and then later for the entire Iberian region. From 2015, he took on various international management roles, including as Managing Director of the DHL Freight Group in Switzerland and CEO for the whole of South-Eastern Europe. In these roles, he was responsible for several countries, numerous locations and several hundred employees, and successfully developed the business. In 2021, he joined BBL Groupe as Group Director Road Freight.
